Marina Shektman, the principal designer and creative force behind Studio M Kitchens, has a flair for eye catching designs that make her clients’ spaces stand out. Her design philosophy is all about turning your kitchen into a place that fits both your personal taste and lifestyle. Having been in business since 2002, Marina has developed relationships with contractor teams whose top tier craftsmanship bring her dreamy designs to life. She would be your best advocate and liaison between you and your contractor to help you make the right decisions. Marina works with a number of custom and semi-custom cabinetry lines, giving you a variety of choices to suit your budget and style preferences. The design process starts with a conversation about your goals, followed by an in-home consultation and a full design package that includes life-like 3D renderings.
Marina has a bachelors degree in architecture from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. After graduation Marina worked at several architectural firms in Philadelphia, New York City and Boston, which specialized in contract and high end residential interiors. Through these experiences, she gained substantial knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the design and construction process. She particularly enjoys millwork and cabinetry design and finding innovative and functional solutions to design challenges. Interior architectural plans, lighting plans, bathroom and furniture designs are an added bonus of working with Studio M Kitchens.
Minakshi Rothawan has a master degree in interior architecture from Suffolk University in Boston, MA. She enjoys the conceptualizing stage of design the most. A great concept provides strong platform that is easily built on as the project progresses. Minakshi is a pro at 3D renderings and computer visualization. Combining different design styles while creating the cohesive look is her strength. She was awarded Best Graduate Design honors for “Mode Couture Design School,” at IIDA New England design awards 2017. She also received IIDANE student portfolio award and thesis design and academic excellence honor from Suffolk University.
